Description:
As a manager, you know that healthcare organizations have been through unparalleled challenges over the past five years. Between staffing shortages, budget shortfalls, re-organizations, and the COVID onslaught, our first line, ‘working’ and middle managers have often been overwhelmed with the sheer volume of challenges. While some managers burn out, many others love their work but desperately want better ways of coping with workloads and being more effective in their role. Terese Fleming BN MS

Terese Fleming BN MS is a Calgary-based nurse with over thirty-five years of management experience in nursing, hospital and business settings. After graduating from the University of Calgary Faculty of Nursing, she embarked on a career that included critical care, where she discovered her life long passion for education, whether at the bedside or in the clinical classroom. She moved into nursing management positions as Unit Manager, Coordinator, Assistant Program Director and Program Director positions.  Following that, she spent several years in healthcare administration as Vice President of Nursing and then Vice President of Patient Care Services positions in Southern Alberta.  She also has healthcare management consulting experience. Ms. Fleming is CEO of Executive Links Inc, a health care education company primarily serving nurses, mental health professionals, dietitians, pharmacists, EMTs, and more. The company provides webinars for health care professionals across Canada and ‘in-person’ workshops in selected provinces.
